Whew… I just knocked out some random weirdo right off my computer.  I can’t believe that he was going to tell the world that I was done with the awesomeness that is blogging.  Yah, I’ve been here and there with it, but my new blog will revitalize me in more ways than one.

Be aware though, this page still looks like nothing much (it’s coming, it’s coming), but I wanted to start using it regardless of how it looks.  I have many posts I want to write and share with you guys, so I will do that just.  Aesthetic appeal will improve greatly over the next little while as my best friend is helping me out a ton with this thing.  I’ll mention him a little later on, but yah, Happy Refresh will look A++++ once we are done with it.

TRTT is back for another week of non-stop action.  I promise that I will do my best to never skip a Tuesday post again.  Considering, at the moment, that Tuesday seems to be the only day I post a new blog post these days.  *doh!*  That’s an Epic Fail on my part.  Still working on that by the way.  I’m craving for some normalcy right about now.

So, what’s in store today?  Well, I can tell you that it is back to Japan with another solid female artist.  I can’t remember where I first heard this musician, most likely walking around some random store or from TV.  That moment escapes me, but no worries, it’s not really that important.  I never really paid to much attention to finding out who this singer was until one day, I was walking around Tokyo, when some random musical beat popped into my head.  It impossible to get out, so I did my best to enjoy whatever it was.  Again, the exact details are fuzzy, but I finally caught wind of the song that was being played in my head over and over.  It was a relief that not only could I finally look up this artist, but the moment I discovered who it was, I was no longer tormented by that particular song.  Thank goodness too, cause any longer and I’m sure I would not be writing this post right now.  *Take that as you want.*  hehe

加賀美セイラ (Kagami Seira) was born in 1987 to a mother and a father who worked hard and blah blah blah blah…..

hah!  Alright, maybe I should take this a little more seriously.  Seira made her debut in 2007 with two singles.  One being Kaleidoscope and the other Kodoku no Hikari.  Unfortunately for me, I have not heard these songs or anything that is not present on her most recent album.  I should be probably take a gander at those.   hmmmmm…. yup!

I’m not entirely sure what draws me to her music.  Yes, it’s catchy and seems like standard fair for JPop.  Though, what do I know?  Anyways, I think what I like about her so much is that fact that her crazy song bothered me for so long.  You’d think I wouldn’t want to listen to it again, but it reminded me of simpler times.  Times when random music playing in my head on repeat was the only worry I had.  Ah, great times….

*This blog post has been interrupted by DAYDREAMS!  For times when you like to pretend you’re living life in a totally different way.*

Shame on me, that’s for dang sure.  Sorry guys!  I’m not only letting you down, but myself as well.  T_T

I would like to blame a few things.  Though in the end, it’s still my fault.  Tuesday was a sorta special day???  Super Street Fighter IV was released that day and to celebrate, a few friends came over for the joyous occasion.  But not only did we play that for at least 3 hours, as we also had to watch some Stanley Cup playoff hockey which featured my favorite team.  They lost (doh?) and I still find myself recovering after that heartbreak. 

Also, I work now (and coincidently, I am making this post at work), which I think I have mentioned before.  So I am still trying to sort my life out and putting it into some sort of schedule.  I was hoping to have that figured out already, but yah, guess that hasn’t happened.  Becoming super productive with the limited amount of free time will be hard, but I will make it happen.  I am devoted to this little blogging adventure of mine, so don’t fret.  Plus, I’ll try to write about more Japanese related content.  I know I haven’t focused on that area much lately, so I’ll do my best to include more.  If you wanna see anything else, just let me know.  I’m open to suggestions.

Adventure Kid is the stage name of Kristoffer Ekstrand who is based in Sweden. He uses obsolete personal computers, hand held gaming consoles and video game consoles in conjunction with modern synthesizers and sequencers to create music, games and art work.

I first found out about him about the same time I ran into the crazy large music group called I’m From Barcelona. Adventure Kid happened to cover/remix a song he called Robots Sing We’re From Barcelona based on the original song We’re From Barcelona.

Needless to say, it was well done.

An album is supposed to be released sometime this year.  Although, the exact date is still unknown.  I’ll be supporting this independent artist for sure and will be buying myself a copy.  The songs that he currently has released can actually be downloaded from his website right here, so feel free to download and listen at your leisure.

I started my new job today which is a regular 8-5 gig.  So, I am going to find a routine and try to stick to it.  A routine that will involve blogging and studying Japanese.  What I really wanted to say is that content will be coming and this mysterious new blog of mine (is it actually real??????) will soon hit your eyes with it’s splendid splendor.

I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.  It’s crazy how I went from a ton of free time to such a limited amount.  Ah well, such is life I suppose.

Sorry for the late update.  I started working again and that means the end of free time as we know it.  Actually, just a lot less of it than I have been used to for the past 8 months.

Since this weeks as been a little stressful getting back into the swing of things, I thought it would be nice to sit back and listen to some classics.  Well, in this case, just one classic, split into 4 pieces.  Actually, just classify this as a Classical piece.  But before you immediately run away, just give it a moment.  Feel it out.  Remember, you’re supposed to be a little stressed out right now.  Maybe.  For those that aren’t, congrats!  This will only makes things even better.  Trust me.

Claude Debussy is my composer of choice today.  He was born in 1862 (oh, what a good year that was eh?  o.0) and passed away in 1918.  You may not notice his name, but I would place high bets that you have heard one of his songs.  I should keep that a secret, but I’ll let you know which one it is (for those that don’t really want to listen).  Piece 3 of the Suite Bergamasque (which I share with you today) is the song you would most likely recognize, if you have heard a Debussy song before.  In my opinionated guess I suppose.

I hope you enjoyed The Suite Bergamasque.  And if you are short for time, again, please listen to Clair De Lune.  You will really thank yourself once you have.  I love listening to many Classical composers not only for the sheer talent at creating such majestic and breathtaking pieces of music, but I adore the dreams that are inspired because of them.  I tend to let my mind wander and drift into fantasies.  I don’t think about my problems, only crazy things that I would like to doing.  Things like saving a damsel in distress or driving a Porsche in the fall, on a windy road covered in leaves, in France.  Or how about eating an ice cream while watching the sun set.  Yah!  I’m a dreamer.

Yes, such a sad and terrible thing.  I know.  But, because books run wild and rampant in Chapters, it was difficult to resist their constant feed of tempting words.  I had to walk out of that store with something and because manga is really the only thing I find myself reading these days, I decided to take a gander at all the random titles placed in front of me.

*Seriously guys, I haven’t read a book book since the 7th and final Harry Potter.  I suppose I am a fool.*

Well, what did I buy instead?  You obviously know it’s some sort of manga series cause I just told you that.  But what title did I choose?  Would it be similar to One Piece?  Maybe it would be some sappy love story?  ( I have feelings too!!)  Would it involve crazy ninjas?  What about sharks?  uh, food?

Here is the synopsis from the English Publishers (Del Rey Manga) website for Volume I:

Nozomu Itoshiki is depressed. Very depressed. He’s certifiably suicidal, but he’s also the beloved schoolteacher of a class of unique students, each charming in her own way: The stalker. The shut-in. I’ve only read a first few chapters so far.  Each chapter has introduced a new student of Itoshiki sensei aka Zetsubou¹ sensei, well, except for the first one.  I think.  Yes.  Anyways, from what I can tell, each character has a trait in which they are overly characterized in.  Itoshiki sensei is an overly exaggerated despair person who thinks the worst of every possible situation and might I add, wants to die via suicide.  One student is generally way too happy and can turn any bad event into something “good”.  Another has a crazy obsession with animal tails and because of this is always injured due to the extreme animals she chases after.  Yah, kinda crazy.

¹Zetsubou = Despair; Hopelessness

I plan on writing a full review after I finish the first volume.  Volume I is just over 150 pages (not including extras) so it shouldn’t take me very long to go through at all.  But from what I’ve read so far, I am genuinely interested.  This series is a definite contrast from what I normally read, and that’s sorta why I picked it.  I’m not tired of the likes of One Piece, Bleach, etc, but I welcome to the idea of trying something new.

Depending how much I like the manga, I might have to watch the anime if I feel motivated enough.  As a slight aside, I think I prefer reading than watching.  Not always, but if I had to pick, I would say reading is my preferred choice.

Today, like we all know, is Tuesday, and because that is so, I wanted to share with you some WMMT tunes that not only do I enjoy while playing the game, but listen to constantly while driving…in real life.  If you love driving, then you’ll love these tunes.  I suggest listening to them at night, when the roads are dead and you feel the need for speed.  Believe me, this music encourages you to drive faster.  Whether or not that is a good thing, well, I’m not sure.  Please, just drive safely.

Okay, I’m done with this text garbage.  Time for some music composed by the Great Yuzo Koshiro (古代祐三).

First up, and quite possibly my favorite WMMT song ever.  A few come close, but when it comes down to it, I always come back to this song for a good pick me up after I have lost a few matches.  n_n

The name of this song says it all.  It really is a delight and I can’t say anything more about it.  Actually, it’s a great tune to play in the morning on the way to work, especially in the spring/summer when the sun is rising.  Yup!

Please don’t cry when you hear the next one.  There are actually two versions of this song.  My favorite of the two being the one that was not on OST that you can buy.  The original is awesome, but the remix is oh so nice.
