I have yet to meet someone who knows about Adventure Kid when I mention this solo artist for the first time.  The name is spreading, this I am sure, but how fast, well, I have no idea.  Either way, you should know about Adventure Kid cause his music is addicting.

*Please note that my musical preferences may differ from yours and thus, you may end up not finding this music addicting at all.  Which, I shall say, is a crying shame.*

The bio on his website states this:

Adventure Kid is the stage name of Kristoffer Ekstrand who is based in Sweden. He uses obsolete personal computers, hand held gaming consoles and video game consoles in conjunction with modern synthesizers and sequencers to create music, games and art work.

I first found out about him about the same time I ran into the crazy large music group called I’m From Barcelona. Adventure Kid happened to cover/remix a song he called Robots Sing We’re From Barcelona based on the original song We’re From Barcelona.

Needless to say, it was well done.

An album is supposed to be released sometime this year.  Although, the exact date is still unknown.  I’ll be supporting this independent artist for sure and will be buying myself a copy.  The songs that he currently has released can actually be downloaded from his website right here, so feel free to download and listen at your leisure.
